the one characteristic of the heterotopia that Foucault forgot to mention was the "heterotemperature." these are unusual breaks with temperature that can occur inside a heterotopia. for example, at ELSEWHERE it's a bit colder inside than outside. therefore, stephanie suggested that I create some makeshift hand warmers out of socks. she's also suggested creating some site-specific pockets.
